T-Mobile asked EWI to help create an in-store engagement that would celebrate diversity, promote self-expression, and drive brand perception and awareness at the brand’s Signature Stores.

EWI designed, developed and produced Case Shop, a first-of-its-kind experience that let customers create their own custom-designed cell phone cases right in the store.

Case Shop provided customers with two different experiences: Customers could choose an existing design from categories like Pop Culture, Animals, Lifestyle, Holidays and others…

or customers could take complete creative control by selecting “Create Your Own.” This option allowed them to select backgrounds, apply stickers, write text and apply filters.

Case Shop also allowed customers to upload their own photos via a custom-generated QR code.

Customers could print their designs onto a range of cases that worked with popular devices.

Printing a design took three to five minutes. Case Shop supported cases for devices from Apple, Samsung, LG and others. New cases could easily be added as new devices were released.

To promote sharing, Case Shop’s “selfie button” allowed users to snap a selfie with their creation to share with others.

Case Shop featured a backend Content Management System which allowed T-Mobile to upload new designs, manage design categories and collect customer information.
